Three games debut next month, at least in Japan.
Posted by godboko71 at 21:39:48 CST
SNK Playmore has now revealed the first three games to be released for the service. The standard price for Neo Geo games is set at 900 Wii points.
The first game, Garou Densetsu, better known as Fatal Fury in North America, is a classic fighting game first released in 1991. SNES and Genesis versions of the SNK-developed game exist, but the Neo Geo version was the arcade original. This is the first of several Fatal Fury games, and it is scheduled to arrive on September 11.
The second game is also a fighter, this time developed by ADK. World Heroes was originally released in 1992. Much like Fatal Fury, it was released on various platforms and spawned sequels, but the Neo Geo version was the original. The game will be arriving later in September.
Finally, Magician Lord rounds out the pack. This ADK-developed fantasy-themed side-scroller first appeared in 1990 and is unique to the Neo Geo platform. Though also first appearing in the arcades, it was a pack-in game for the Neo Geo console system. Magician Lord also arrives later in September.
Sadly, there are no scheduled Neo Geo game release dates for regions outside of Japan.
