I'd like to bring up a point of birds.
Here in Australia (and probably wherever you guys may live), there is a fair amount of birds around. Pretty much everywhere.
My question is this: if there are so many feathered friends flying around and perched on our fences, how come we don't see that many dead ones?
Seriously.
Like what's the life expectancy of these feathered friends?
I find it confusing. We'll see the odd piece of roadkill every now and then, but that's usually cats or mice and very few birds. Near my house is a lake, and we get a bit of water fowl roadkill, but that's because they can't fly. Though, you'd think with the amount of birds flying around we'd see a lot more of these flying creatures not flying. There are lots of pigeons and other gutter birds strolling around the place, but I don't think i've seen a pigeon up-side down.
I'm not saying I want to see lots of dead birds all over the place and quite thankful that I don't, but I'm just utterly confused of where they all go when they die...
answers anyone?
