Here's some info on Marvel's Civil War series. Sounds interesting. Here's the info copied from various comic sources:
THE STORY
The story opens with a reckless fight between the New Warriors, filming a reality television show, and a cadre of villains. The battle goes awry for the heroes, resulting in villain Nitro creating an explosion that takes out a local school, the surrounding neighborhood, and all but one of the New Warriors.
This event crystallizes a government movement to register all super-powered beings as living weapons of mass destruction. The subsequent Registration Act will divide the heroes into two camps, one led by Captain America, the other by Iron Man. Iron Man takes the side of supporting the Super-Human Registration Act, and Captain America will be against. Other heroes have also taken sides as well.

During the Civil War, Marvel will unveil its version of Guantánamo Bay, enemy combatants, embedded reporters and more. The question at the heart of the series is a fundamental one: "Would you give up your civil liberties to feel safer in the world?"

Sounds interesting. Also there's a buzz that Marvel
may kill off Spider-man's wife Mary Jane. WTF?
Read this from a recent issue of Wizard magazine:
WIZARD: What's the biggest problem with Spider-Man right now?
QUESADA: I've said it before: that darn marriage to Mary Jane. It has been one of the biggest problems writing Spider-Man stories for new and younger readers. Let me put it clearly - Spider-Man is one of the greatest, if not the greatest teen superhero ever created. He's supposed to be a young, viable single character. And over the course of 40-some years, as writers grew older and got married and stuff, they took Peter Parker along for the ride, forgetting about the fact that there were always gonna be 9 year olds who wanted to get into Peter Parker in the same way they all did, which was as a young guy. Peter grew old and married a supermodel. Peter became Billy Joel.EDIT: One more thing, just found out in X3, the Juggernaut is gonna say a very special one liner to Kitty Pride. For
REAL, NOT A JOKE:
"Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut, BITCH!" when Kitty drags him into the floor.
