Midway signs on John Romero and Tom Hall

Midway have just announced that they have just signed on two of the industry's most known veterans, John Romero (formely id Software) and Tom Hall (formely Ion Storm) to work on new action titles that Midway has in the works. One has been confirmed to be the new Gauntlet game, but the others are in the air...perhaps there is a possibly they could be working on the new Mortal Kombat game as well?

Romero will be the project lead, while Hall will carry the title of creative director. Both designers will also assume roles with broader responsibilities at the San Diego studio. The pair will start work Wednesday. The hiring of these two guys is just one part of the internal reworking that's going on at Midway at the moment.
